The Tour de France is over but that means it’s coming up to our (second) favourite time of year again - The Cycle Show! The NEC is our favourite show and has to be one of the most well organised events we’ve ever been to. This is our third time exhibiting in Birmingham and with more and more cyclists attending each year we can’t wait to meet you all there - getting out and talking to you guys is our favourite part of working for See.Sense.
As we are all cyclists, the show is a great opportunity for us to have a look about and get the best deals. As we are starting to get excited we have made up a list of top things we are looking forward to give you an idea of what to expect:
The Canyon stand is usually one of our first visits at the show as there is usually an eyecatcher. We’re looking forward to seeing this distinctive all new cyclocross bike from Canyon at the show. “ After verifying all of Canyon’s claims up to now, I doubt it will disappoint” - As featured in Bike Radar
After the launch of their beer flavoured gel last year, we are looking forward to seeing what Torq will be bringing with them this year. They usually have an impressive stand and are almost always giving away lots of free tasty samples that will keep your energy levels up for the rest of the show.
A true favourite and die-hard exhibitor of the NEC Cycle show, we love to visit Terry Dolan and family at their impressive stand each year. This time they will be showing off their U CI Approved Scala TT Bike and brand new Rebus Carbon Road Bike.
Shout out to our good friends Melissa and Chris from Henty.cc - We meet up with them a couple of times a year and usually team up for an exciting commuter combo competition. Visit the Henty stand to find out more.
If you’re like us, you’ll love getting kitted out with new cycling gear, and what’s even better is when you get it for a bargain. They are known to have some impressive sale rails where you will get some impressive show special prices.
Another favourite of ours. Probably one of the best-priced nutrition companies there is. Their electrolyte drinks will keep you hydrated throughout the show and you can buy a sports bottle for just £2 and refill as much as you like!
We’ve been lucky enough to ride a number of Vitus bikes ourselves (as seen in our promotional videos and photos), so we always like to check out what’s new from the guys at Vitus. Last year we were really impressed with their lovely road bike colour schemes. It’s also been known that legend Sean Kelly will hang about at the Vitus stand, so it’s definitely worth checking out.
A brand new exciting stand to this year's show with a bit of action, we are looking forward watching over 100 riders taking to the Pirelli Supercrit track, with both women’s and men’s races taking place. Note this event will only be on on the weekend, but we’ve heard a rumour that there will be burgers and beer available!
Speaking of beer, the team are definitely looking forward to sampling one or two from this quirky Tour of Britain themed bar after a hard day's work. We’d imagine it would be a nice end to your day too, once you’ve seen enough bikes, if that’s possible!
If you’ve never tried an e-bike before, this is a good place to start as it’s the UK’s first indoor track. Experience the freedom of MTB and the efficiency of an e-bike at the same time. Lots of fun to be had.
Hope you can make it to the show and visit our team at stand J95 which is just behind Bianchi.
