You've heard of RideLondon and London Edinburgh London, but what is LEJOG?
If you haven’t come across the term before, LEJOG might sound like a short French run, however, it actually stands for Lands End to John O’Groats which is the whole length of the island of Great Britain from end to end.
The cycling challenge is organised by Deloitte Ride Across Britain with the total distance racking up to just shy of 1,000 miles over 10 days in the saddle - with a bit of camping and 'craic' in between! LEJOG is aimed at anyone from the amateur cyclist right through to the Ironman pro's. With thousands raised for different charities each year, LEJOG is an amazing challenge for any cyclist and definitely one for the bucket list..
As a company of keen cyclists, we are fond of the odd sportive ourselves. In the spirit of challenging himself and raising money for one of the partner charities, The MS society, our NonExec director Joe Nicholson is taking on the LEJOG challenge starting 8th September 2017. We are all really inspired by Joe for doing this epic ride, and we hear the training is going well! You can visit Joe's JustGiving page for The MS Society here.
If you're interested in taking on the challenge then you can look at the different packages for 2018 by clicking here - plenty of time for training! In the meantime you can check out this stunning video of the highlights of the challenge below. Good luck Joe!
