What a brilliant time we had at the NEC Cycle Show. We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who called to our stand to say hello. Meeting our customers has to be the favourite part of our job (as well as getting to look at hundreds of lovely new bikes!). Here are our top picks from the Cycle Show:
We were very impressed by Boardman Bikes at the show this year. Nice bikes at fair prices with lovely paintwork. This particular TT bike, takes aerodynamics to the next level!
Each frame is individually designed, built and tested by framebuilder and our good friend Owen Byrne here in Northern Ireland. We were lucky enough to borrow Owen's personal bike for the show, and what a beauty it is.
We were lucky enough to borrow Owen's personal bike for the show, and what a beauty it is. This Award-winning number featured at Bespoke 2017 featured Owen as Framebuilder of the week.
Limited edition with only 21 available (one for each stage of the TDF), this was a real showstopper at the NEC. The Canyon Kraftwerk caught lots of attention at the show, with everyone wanting to take a closer look at the lovely frame design with geometric lines. Definitely one we will remember.
The team are always keen to see what's new from Condor Cycles at the Cycle Show. Last year they launched the stunning rose gold Leggero 150, but the Lavoro caught our eye this year. Welded by hand and designed to withstand the demands of track racing, it was great to see something different with this nice colour scheme.
With the recognisable gorilla painted across the head tube, it was great to check out Greipels Noah in person.
We had to feature this incredible handpainted bike from Cannondale, there was no missing those stars and stripes on the stand. It is also kitted out with ENVE rims, ENVE bar, stem and seat post, as well as full Dura-Ace.
Another beauty we couldn't not feature! At one stage the Pinarello stand was that packed you had to queue up for a photo. We were told that there are lots of interesting tweaks and modifications to save weight where ever possible, as Froome would know all about!
Light, light, light! Every detail of the Émonda line, from frame design to each component choice on all models has one common goal: to create the lightest road bikes ever! Nice wheels too...
This one is for any e-bike (or pizza) lovers! These electric bikes, which you do not need a licence to ride, open up a bigger pool for recruiting for the fast food company! Still, we thought it was a pretty cool way to show off the ability of e-bikes in an ECO friendly way.
Sadly there was no pizza in any of the boxes...
Complete with go-faster stripes, the Strato is designed specifically for Olympic Triathlon, present at the 2016 Rio Olympics alongside Anna Maria Mazzetti and the Polyanskiy brothers! Another pretty cool one to see in the flesh.
We hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did, and thank you to everyone who came to see us! Roll on 2018!
