    Philip McAleese

    Philip McAleese
    Co-Founder & CEO

    Philip is the Co-founder and CEO of See.Sense, where he marries his two decades of expertise in electronic and software engineering with his passion for cycling. A former air traffic control simulator designer for National Air Traffic Services, Philip later shifted gears to build and maintain trading systems for global investment banks.

    Recognising the need for safer cycling conditions, he invented See.Sense's innovative bike light technology. Departing his corporate career to focus solely on See.Sense, Philip has since elevated the company into one of the UK's most successful SMEs, earning multiple accolades for innovation.

     

    Irene McAleese

    Irene McAleese
    Co-Founder & CSO

    Irene is the Co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer at See.Sense. She spearheads strategy and forms strategic partnerships at See.Sense, ensuring the company stays ahead of the curve in delivering improved mobility solutions.

    Irene has been selected as an ‘ Export Champion’ by Department for Business and Trade, is a Board Adviser on Diversity for the UK Bicycle Association, is an Ambassador for the Women in Cycling Network, selected by Cycling UK’s 100 Women in Cycling, an Expert Member of CIE’s Connected Cycling and ITS Network, and is a winner of the Northern Ireland Women in Business Award for Best Small Business.

    Chief Operating Officer

    Richard is our COO. With broad business experience leading SMEs in different sectors, he enjoys working with commercial teams to grow businesses. He has an MBA (Cranfield) and enjoys the challenge of trying to improve lives with technology, he is also an enthusiastic cyclist! At home he can be found walking Isla, the family golden retriever and is also fond of a game of tennis.

    Head of Projects

    Beccy is our Head of Projects. An active travel specialist, supporting our B2B partners to deploy our technology, for monitoring schemes and improving safety and infrastructure for all. She loves family bike adventures, craft beer and growing her own veg.

    Customer Support

    Luke has been with the company since 2017 helping our customers with his 10+ years experience in Customer Service. He most enjoys product testing where he can use his own experiences and adventures to help form a product for our customers. When out of office he can be found cycling up a mountain or running down one.

    Damian McElroy
    Senior Designer

    Damian is our Senior designer, with a background in product development and R&D, he has worked on a wide range of technical projects across industry, public sector and Academia. He has a MSc in Design Innovation and keen interest in using Human Centred Design to improve the product experience. In his spare time you can find Damian coaching GAA or Surfing.

    Data Project Analyst

    Cathal is a Data Project Analyst working as part of our data insights team. Having obtained a degree in Computer Science from Queen's University Belfast, he applies his expertise to examine the data gathered from the numerous projects that See.Sense supports. In his spare time he can be found playing or watching GAA all around the country.

    Conal McLaughlin
    Marketing Specialist

    Conal is our Marketing Specialist and works across B2B and B2C marketing. Having graduated from QUB with a History MA, Conal is a strong written communicator, and enjoys writing anything from newsletters to social media posts! In his spare time he loves running and the outdoors, and is often found exploring Donegal at the weekends.

    Richard is a Project Data Analyst working as part of our data insights team.  With a background in physics research at Queen’s University Belfast, he uses his experience to analyse the data collected from the many projects supported by See.Sense.  In his spare time, he enjoys puzzles and the great outdoors.

    Mobile Developer

    Hannah is a Mobile Developer in the Mobile and Front-end development team. She has 3 years experience in a multi discipline team and uses her experience to aid in the continued improvement of the Mobile applications, specialising in Android app development. She enjoys reading, crochet and picking up new hobbies in her spare time.
