Irene McAleese, Chief Strategy Officer of See.Sense, has been named in the cohort of Northern Ireland Export Champions by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) for 2024-25. This prestigious recognition places McAleese among eleven exceptional business leaders selected to champion the cause of global trade across the region.
The Department for Business and Trade is committed to enhancing UK businesses' international presence by supporting and financing export and investment opportunities globally. The newly appointed Export Champions, drawn from diverse sectors such as technology, manufacturing, and food and drink, are set to play a crucial role. They will collaborate with DBT to promote the advantages of exporting by engaging with other local businesses and sharing their success stories and insights at various DBT events.
This initiative comes as a recognition of the proven track record of these leaders in navigating international markets, underscoring the positive impact of exporting on their businesses. By volunteering with the DBT Export Champion program, they aim to inspire and mentor other companies in Northern Ireland to explore and seize overseas opportunities.
